This month is off to an exciting start with writing contests galore!
I've found contests to be a huge motivator in generating new ideas, and I love the challenge of working under specific constraints.
Yesterday, I submitted the first 65 words of my favorite picture book to the #PBParty hosted by Mindy Alyse Weiss.
And TODAY, I'm happy to share my entry for Vivian Kirkfield's #50PreciousWords!
So, without further ado, I present my strange little Tooth Fairy story that had me rolling with laughter the moment I put it to paper:
FERGUS McHAIRY: T-REX TOOTH FAIRY
T-rex Tooth Fairies have a lethal job.
On his first day, Fergus zoomed through a forest of sharp teeth.
CHOMP!
The Rex bit down.
"That's it. I'm fairy dust!" he wailed.
COUGH!
Fergus shot out.
"Yuck! Too hairy!" said Rex.
That's how he became Fergus McHairy: Top T-rex Tooth Fairy.
